Gender pay gap rules in detail

There is no specific reporting obligation in relation to gender pay differences

Law 1496 of 2011 includes an obligation on all employers to determine salaries based on the value of the work and to keep records of the profiles and salaries of different positions, by sex, duties and contractual type. None of this information is required to be made public. It must be retained, however, in case of a future audit.

Failure to comply can lead to fines of up to 150 minimum wages.
