Gender pay gap rules in detail

There is no specific reporting obligation in relation to gender pay differences, but the Estonian Gender Equality Act makes pay in equity discriminatory and contains a general obligation on employers to collect statistical data concerning the equal treatment of men and women and to explain any measures taken to promote equality. This will allow the relevant institutions to assess whether the principle of equal treatment is being complied with, but as yet, the procedure for collecting the material has not yet been enacted.
