National minimum wage in detail

The national gross minimum wage as of 1 February 2019 is EUR 650 per month for employees, but it is adjusted based on the number of years of experience in the job. There are specific minimum wage rates for blue collar employees (i.e. a daily rate of EUR 29.04, adjusted for years of service). The minimum wage is set by the Minister of Labour, based on consultation with representatives of the social partners, scientists and others.
