National minimum wage in detail

The minimum wage in the Netherlands applies to full-time workers aged 22 and over, excluding holiday allowance of 8%. The government adjusts the amount of the minimum wage twice a year, on 1 January and 1 July. The statutory monthly minimum wage set by law for full time employees aged 22 and over from 1 January 2019 is EUR 1,615 gross.

Note that in the chart, we have adjusted the minimum wage to take account of the statutory holiday allowance of 8%.
