National minimum wage in detail

The minimum monthly wage is based on a Regulation of the Council of Ministers, issued annually, no later than 15 September, under Article 2(5) of the Act of 10 October 2002 on the Minimum Wage for Employment. Since 1 January 2019, the minimum monthly wage has been PLN 2,250 (EUR 524.69). The minimum hourly wage is PLN 14.70 (EUR 3.43). The minimum wage is generally the same for all employees – there are no gradations.

However, in the public sector, the wage is supplemented by an additional annual month’s salary (13th month wage, in the amount of 8.5% of the annual pay received by the employee during the calendar year), provided by the Act of 12 December 1997 on Additional Annual Remuneration for Employees in the State Budget Sector.
